CTNX 2013!

Hello Everyone!  Long time no post.  Sorry.  I am here with some good news.  I graduated over the summer from Art Center College of Design and have been working, so I cannot complain.  CTN is coming up and instead of just attending it this year, I am going to have a table!  My friend Michael Okey and I are sharing a table in the New Talent Tent.  Michael was a classmate of mine at Art Center and I am very honored to be sharing a table with him.  If you get a chance, check out his work.  If you are at CTN please stop by though, we will have some new work to look at and a few goodies.  See you there and I promise to post some new work soon.

Okay just a quick sketch...

Just one of the characters for a new project! There is more to come once I finish the final character sheets.  I'm trying to complete a Zbrush sculpt of the griffin too.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mad Dash!

I know, I know!  I haven't posted anything recently but I have my reasons.  I am graduating this summer so I am hard at work finishing up pieces for my portfolio and grad wall.  So when I am all squared away I'll have a massive post chock-full of new beauties for your viewing pleasure.  At least that's the plan! ;) For now here is a quick sketch from one of my current classes.  Thanks for stopping by!

8th Term is Complete!

-->
     Yes, I am still alive!  I have been so busy that I have not been able to post in quite some time.  I’m headed into my final term and there is a ton of work to be posted.  I am finalizing a few paintings, working on a side project, and working on several pieces for my grad wall at Art Center.  I will however, post a small number of sketches today from a few school projects.  I want to post a few from a personal project but, I think I'll wait till they are little further developed.  All of these are from a class taught by Paul Rogers.  Thank you for taking a look!

Quick Post Dewey Cox Gig Poster

-->
I know, I haven't posted in quite some time, but I will try and make up for it soon.  I have a lot of new work to post and I am really excited to share it.  So, for now here is a screen-printed poster I did for a class called Graphic Design For Entertainment.  The instructor (Paul Rogers) is great and I am learning a lot from him.  I'm really excited to see how the rest of the term comes out.  Now I can't post this without thanking my best friend Jim Mazza for helping me print it.  Without his help it wouldn't have turned out half as good since I have never screen-printed anything.  Check out his work, he's an amazing artist.

Matte Painting

My first stab at a matte painting and I still have a ways to go before I am any good at it, but what fun!  I have tons of work to post from this past term and promise to post it as soon as possible.  First, I have to finish my finals. Thanks for stopping by.

A Few Images I Forgot To Post

I was going through some work from a couple of terms ago and found these.  The top two are from a character design assignment in an Adobe Illustrator class.  Photos courtesy of my instructor Dana Duncan Seil.  Since I like playing video games, I thought it would would be fun to create a fictional character around that and create something functional too.  Doesn't look to shabby next my my Xbox either.  Developing the character was tons of fun and it was my favorite project out of the class.  The last image is of some character designs from the same class, but different assignment.  They were a lot of fun as well.  I still have images from this previous term and some personal work I am working on.  I'll post more soon.  Till next time...

Layout Number Deux

This layout was the second assignment from my Style Development class and is in the style of William Joyce.  It took a while to paint, but it was a lot of fun.  This term is almost done and I can't wait to work on some projects over break.  Till next time...

Digital Landscape Paintings

Just a few of the plein air paintings I did this term.  I still have a lot to learn with this, but it's an exercise I plan on doing a lot for now on.
